Small Song
A downloadable Digital Experiment for Windows, macOS, and Linux
This is a small experimental project based on a twelve word poem by A.R. Ammons called "Small Song." The only input is moving the mouse or touchpad, there is no goal or end state.
If you have an internet connection, the program will try to determine your location and, using this and the time of day, determine the correct position of the sun and simulate lighting. If you don't have an internet connection, it will default to settings for Brooklyn, NY.
Special thanks to Karina, Tomas, Wyatt, and Soraya for their creative input. Thanks to freegeoip.com for the geolocation API, Ideajuice for help implementing this into C#, Peter Dotsenko for his Sun Calculator class written in C#, and Canaveral at freesound.org for the wind and reed sounds.
